Time flies when we have a bunch of surf. We chased waves to Mexico Beach on Monday. We were not alone. Mexico Beach must of had 200 plus people up and down the beach. I dodn’t know there was so many gluttons for punishment. Thats a pretty heavy wave. I saw many people just get pounded. We posted pics on the photo gallery. We saw lots of people from here, and saw old friend Dennis fom CSUS. I wasn’t really digging that wave too much, not in the mood for a butt wipping I guess but all the boys seemed to have fun. Trev, Ivan, Nacho, Paul Michael all had good waves and Johnny L always gets some bombs out the back. Vz was there telling story and finding some mackers as well. Also the boys from Pcola Mel, Mel and Will I AM had some good ones.
I finally got in the water today after work, ps we close at 6 you guys, and found some fun ones till it got dark. Shifty wedges were all over the place. It was throwing pretty good. The picture dude got some great shots of Garrett Spencer and Shawn Riley. Lots of fun.
We did get some new Lost surfboards in today, Rockets and RNF QUAD. John G finally recieved his new CUSTOM MR. I’ve never seen a happier guy. The board looks magic.

Hurry up and wait. TS Fay is so slow in producing any surf that I’m going back to sleep. Maybe Sunday ? With school back in session we are transistioning to a little slower pace at the shop. Mornings I acually get stuff done. I am planning on tweaking the website some more, putting the surf report as the main thing, as it should be and we do have a batch of Lost Rockets on the way, anybody looking for a a new custom CI we need another 2 or 3 orders to fill up a box. Certian models can be fast tracked and only take 4-6 weeks.

Today is our 25th anniversary. 25 years of maritial bliss, 2 great kids, lots of crazy family, and tons of waves ridden together. Our swell is over but we had some good waves over the last couple of days. They seem better now that they are gone. I am already looking for the next one. The inside of the pier had some gang buster barrels on Monday. We have added more pics to the home page, click on them to enlarge. We are rolling back prices on our new spring suits, and wetsuit jackets, doing our part. Fluid continues to stock the very best surfboards in the world, with more CI Surftechs coming today.

Hurricane Dolly has been lighting us with solid chest to head high surf but the real story seems to be the jelly fish. We have resorted to wearing fullsuits in the middle of july just to be able to withstand the attack of the killer sea nettles. After about 9:30 am it gets so hot it feels like a sauna. The waves have been pretty good though. A bit of a wait between sets but very long and workable. Trevor has been surfing the pier where its all barrels all the time. Do or die, but he is claiming Its super fun, fast and furious. Rona and I have settled for a more workable wave where we can manage a few turns. Check out the photo section soon for a few pics of Thursday morning. Sneads mom took the pics

Saint AUGUSTINE was unreal this weekend. We left at 5 am friday morning so we could get a good surf in the afternoon. Friday was head high plus with clean lines and nobody out. Sat morning was really good but keep getting better as the tide started to change. Mid day was all time 3-5 ft. We heard some of the old guard say it was the best its been in 4-5 years. Check out the photo pages for a few pics. Sunday morning was a little off but the surf came thru by 10 and we all had keeper waves till noon. Well worth the drive!!

Small longboard waves have helped break the summer doldrums. There has been periods of pulses where the surf has been fun enough. The East Coast looks to be the place to be this weekend. Farther South seems to have the best chance for the biggest waves. Magic Seaweed shows Sebastion Inlet at 3′ but ST. Aug only at 1.5 or 2 ft. The period is at 10/11 secs so it could be pretty fun but not all that big. At the shop we got some new RVCA T’S and wallets and 10 more CHANNEL ISLANDS surfboards in.

Waves again!!! I got to ride the 9′0 Hobie Fusion today. Its been sitting in the shop for like a year or so and nobody wanted it, suckers, cause that board is super fun. Classic longboards have glide and style while performance longboards like to hit the lip. The Hobie is classic!! We have some killer Stewarts in stock that could work good. The waves got funky after the morning session but it was crystal clear water and interesting weather with the rain squalls coming in. I don’t really know what went on at the shop cause I took the day off but I know we got some more Palmers wax in plus some more FCS stuff. Rona and I had fun surfing with Terry and the Lifeguards at a unnamed spot. Ronas 6′10 Rusty Piranha was working pretty good as well. Don’t forget we will be at Surf Practice tomorrow morning, should be funwith perfect size waves to learn on. Thanks Chris from SURFTECH for bring all those killer boards, from fishes to longboards.

Surfs up!!!!!!At least a little any way. We longboarded this morning and caught some pretty fun waves, around hip to maybe waist high, no jellies and clean conditions. I ended up selling my longboard later that day at the shop so i hope the surf gets bigger or else I’m going to have to get a another one. The Epoxy Stewart looks might nice. Weather chased us off the water but it never did rain. I did see lightning though. Today we got some new Quik surftrunks and T’s i plus new Reef walkshorts.
